The assignment: give SLON Studio a refreshed identity that reflects their expertise in meaningful, lasting brand design - and positions them as both creative and dependable.
Emphasize Warmth and Memory: The visual identity had to evoke "warm feelings" and connect directly to the preservation of beautiful life moments.
Modernize the Symbol: Create a sophisticated, laconic, and recognizable symbol based on the studio's name ("Slon").
Define a Delicate Aesthetic: Establish a primary color palette and clean corporate style that emphasizes a delicate, modern, and aesthetic approach to photography.
Create Versatile Assets: Design a full set of corporate materials (business cards, gift cards, studio signs) that feel premium, cohesive, and reinforce the new, polished brand image.
Logo & Symbol: The core solution was the development of a logo mark built exclusively from circle shapes. These circular forms cleverly assemble to create the abstract yet recognizable symbol of an elephant. This design choice provides a laconic, modern feel while tapping into the memorable nature of the animal.
The Emotional Color Palette: I defined a primary palette centered on soft Grey and a distinguishing warm Yellow. The grey provides a professional, stable, and clean base (like a quality print), while the yellow serves as a vibrant accent, symbolizing the light, warmth, and joy of the captured moments.
Brand Communication: The visual style was extended across all touchpoints (studio interior, gift cards, business cards) to ensure a cohesive and aesthetic experience.
